Viva Las Vegas!

This is a shot of the strip one of the nights we were there. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood hotel on the strip. We had such a great time. We saw a show the first night we were there - Zumanity. It was a risque Cirque De Soliel show - not what I expected at all but we had a good time going. We spent most of the days there sitting at the pool, or Will at the Blackjack table. He ended up winning some money so that was good. Sunday night we had a great dinner at Rao's Italian Restaurant on the recommendation from one of Will's clients at work.

As everyone guessed, we got remarried on Monday! We went to the Little White Chapel where Elvis and Michael Jordan got married. And guess what, they even had a drive thru...

Here are some pics from the ceremony:

And though there was only the two of us, the minister, and the photographer in the room, everyone was able to hear Allison say her vows this time around...

These are some other pics from around the chapel:

This wasn't the limo that picked us up from the hotel, but we wish it were...

Here are some other shots we took before the ceremony:

After the ceremony, we had a wonderful dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant at the Paris hotel. Our table had a great view of the Bellagio fountain.

The fountain went off about every 20 minutes during our dinner - it was great to see and so amazing to see from our viewpoint.

We had such a great time and have such a great memory for our 1st Anniversary. We plan to go back to do it all over again in years to come and we hope we can get others to come with us next time!

We went fly fishing this past weekend - more pics from that trip coming soon...

Here's Your Sign...

Typical sign picture

Sunset over Estes Park...

More park pictures...

Each time we drove through the park I was looking for animals...so far on my list I've seen deer, elk, fox, moose (but without antlers), marmot, and buffalo (or to be technically correct bison)...I have yet to see a bear, bobcat, mountain lion or anything else of that nature although they've been spotted in Boulder several times since we've lived here...but I did get to add coyote to my list!! We saw 2 different ones; the first just trotting down the side of the highway and the second we got a picture...

It was exciting...although there was a bobcat spotted sitting across from my school recently we have yet to see it...so crazy!

Our latest trip was to Las Vegas...here is one picture from our trip...we'll post more soon!!

Enter at Own Risk...

The day after the 4th of July we all decided to go for a hike because I had been dying to go hiking ever since we got up to Estes Park (this is Allison obviously...Will didn't hike with us..he played golf)...so we took a family trip plus Christine to find a hiking trail.
I found this easy/moderate hike to Gem Lake that was supposed to have a really nice view of Estes Park and only supposed to be 4 miles round trip.
First of all, we had trouble finding the trailhead, and when we found the road we thought it was down this is the sign we saw!

Here's dad with the sign...

Real friendly people live in the mountains apparently...here is all of us starting out on our first trail (not the one we planned to hike) until it thundered and we turned around to find another trail...

Here are Robin and Christine modeling by the sign at the start of our trail...we eventually found the Gem Lake trail, although it hadn't really stopped thundering we weren't as out in the open as before (the weather is kind of unpredictable out here...storms pop up out of the blue like at the beach)...we're pretty sure whoever measured the length of this trail was a LIAR!

Our trail, neverending, was completely uphill all the way...we never thought we would make it to this lake...Robin, Christine, and Mom were pretty determined by the end, while Dad and I contemplated going back down because we were so tired of going uphill! Here are some pictures...

The beautiful Gem Lake...which was incredibly small! We're pretty sure we got even with the tree line on our way up...which is pretty high in altitude, considering we started at around 8,000 feet!

One last view from the top as we descend down...a very quick trip to the bottom and a lot of relief when we finally hit the bottom!

We did more on the trip and went to Vegas this past weekend...but I think we've put up enough pictures right now...more to come!

Busy Few weeks...

Sorry for the delay in blogging...we've had a busy couple of weeks!
We had Robin (my sister) and Christine move to Boulder!!! YEA!!

Mom and Dad came out to visit for awhile and we all stayed in a cabin in the cute little mountain town of Estes Park...

I had Mom and Dad all to myself one day...I felt like an only child...haha...I tried to take as many pictures as I could of the 3 of us...but Mom and Dad weren't that interested..haha...

We spent a lot of time in Rocky Mountain National Park...here are some pictures from places we walked around...

Christmas card picture...

There was a doe that hung around our cabin and took an afternoon nap under our neighbor's porch...

Very relaxing 4th of July just watching fireworks on the hill behind our cabin...very neat fireworks show over the lake, the 5th largest firework show in the state of CO!

Happy 4th of July!!

We headed to Estes Park for the weekend with Allison's family. We rented a cabin just outside of the town.

We spent a lot of time in Rocky Mountain National Park as well over the weekend. Some great views also!

This is just a few of the pics. More to come later in the week.

Next trip - Anyone seen Vegas Vacation??
